I forgot to grab my Oswald ears, like I had originally planned, before heading out to work today, so a doodle will have to suffice instead. You can find the image on Instagram here.
Egg-Oswald to match the Egg-Mickey and Egg-Minnie design floating around. Mickey’s half-brother gets a tie instead of a bow in this instance although I’m sure he’d look cute in either. : )
Might ink this fellow later, or even vector him after I’m done with thesis. Time, ye arte a rare commodity these days.

Taking the day off ‘n’ not wanting to clean the house like I had originally planned…
Turned on the telly and the news was depressing, so opted for some toons. It was either watching Lady and the Tramp on ABC Family, or…The Three Musketeers? On Disney Jr.? Okay then.
I…wow. This is actually kinda’ cute. I’m really liking the watercolor backgrounds. ’N’ the animation is pretty fun. For one of the direct-to-video films, I’m kinda’ actually enjoying this.Even if some of the French-puns and cheesy “wuvvy-duvvy” scenes have me reeling in pain some times. Please stop singing Pete.
I’m actually really enjoying the Beagle Boys in this iteration. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!Turtle. TURTLE. STOP. SINGING. -
Mickey Head Shape
Argh. Mickey’s silhouette is so iconic, even if it’s just his face (I mean, it’s basically three circles).
But it seems like the placement of his ears varies from medium to medium (i.e. how deeply his ears are placed on his head). It makes sense when dealing with physical objects they’d be placed closer, but even just looking at his 2D silhouette there’s a lot of variance. In one picture, they look fairly attached. In others, they’re a bit borderline. In another, they are held on by magnets.
Disney fans, which version of mickey’s face would you say is either the canon or most frequently used version of Mickey’s head? -
Gremlins Gremlins Gremlins

Walt Disney and Roald Dahl surrounded by Gremlin merchandise.
Normally I try not to reblog things on here now, but…*delighted crowing*
Oh how I wish those were still around (the plushes, although Disney and Dahl are obvious too). I also love how delighted Dahl looks, haha.
EDIT: WHOA, WAIT, HELLO. Gus’s hat color is wrong though…

Here’s a song from “Kingdom of the Sun”, the film that was ultimately retooled to become “The Emperor’s New Groove.” The film was originally a full-on musical with songs by Sting. The clip features an early version of Yzma (originally animated by Andreas Deja) singing a catchy tune with some interesting visuals. There’s some interesting behind the scenes footage interspersed with some pencil test footage of the original scene.
This clip is an excerpt from the documentary on the film, “Sweatbox”, which has been under lock and key for some time and was recently leaked online.
Oh sweet Jesus I’ve been dying for this to leak (especially this sequence because this is my favorite Disney villain song, even as-is) and FINALLY. I have homework to finish first but THEN I’ll watch the entire thing. This bit looks great, especially the ending which is kinda exactly how I visualized it in my head.
I absolutely love The Emperor’s New Groove as it was finalized, but I still mourn the loss of Sting + Disney. Fuck the haters, I love Sting (if you can’t tell by my blog name).
those character designs tho
