WHAT’S UP INTERNET

If you’re a gamer, you probably noticed all the new stuff being announces at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. I’m super excited, especially about all the announcements from Sony and Nintendo.

Lots of people are excited for different consoles and their respective games, LIKE THE 3DS. So here’s your chance to win one! The winner will receive a red 3DS XL system (like new, used only a few times) with its original box, charger, manuals, and AR cards. Plus, the two latest killer apps for the 3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening and Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

He’s been giving you the same excuses for at least two weeks now, and has been pulling the same thing for at least three weekends now. So in the mean time you don’t want to do anything on the off chance he stops dragging you in circles? Even if I’m the one paying for any outings? I wouldn’t mind if we had to cut something short on the off chance the client actually does what he’s supposed to do and actually pays up - it’d be better than getting dragged around in circles every weekend, too. At least then I could actually make plans for the weekend. >_o

I recently found out that my cat, Valentine, is having some kidney problems. I’ve had her since I was six or seven (for reference…I’m 22 now), so it’s not unexpected for a feline her age. Still, she’s been my constant companion growing up, and it’s hard to think that she may not be around much longer.

Doofy sketch/color test, trying to get her colors down (she’s a red Persian) for a children’s book I came up with while visiting her today. She doesn’t really meow, just opens her mouth - noise occasionally comes out, but we’ve dubbed it her “silent meow.” Pulling from that, it’s a kid’s book about dealing with/accepting people who are more introverted/quiet, and that being one is not a bad thing. 8B

To my not-surprise at this point, he cancelled. Said I should go up to Tampa with out ‘im, and wish everyone “Break a leg,” for him. While the people performing are mutual friends…I just don’t see the point in driving up alone, y’know? Especially because I’d be driving back around 2 or 3 in the morning. Alone. And it’s always nice to have company on drives like that.

Tried to make other plans, and ran into brickwalls.

Just kind of started crying afterwords. I would have asked Tronologist if she wanted to hang out earlier, or gone out to the park. But it’s 10:30 at night in a place where the median age is 63 - and so everything closes early, especially on a rainy night like this. Al is in the hospital again - his lung collapsed for the second time in two or three weeks, so there’s a lot of worry on the part of mom and I. So getting away from that from a while would have been grand.

I shouldn’t be crying. It’s not that big of a deal. But I was just feeling really great earlier and was looking forward to getting out, dressed really nicely and feeling pretty good, and then this happens and suddenly realizing I’ve been letting this happen to me for almost four years just hurts. When you spend most of a relationship having to wait, and wait, and wait, you start feeling like a non-person. That you, and your time don’t matter. And while we’ve talked about it, and his other actions say that’s not the case…it’s just really difficult to think otherwise.

You know those people where you keep giving them chances, because you have the confidence in them to change or correct mistakes (especially after having multiple discussions - particularly at their behest)…and they keep doing the same thing over and over? And for some reason, you still stick by them?

I’m not quite sure if I’m just being loyal or being a fool, but almost four years of this and times like these make it still feel like we’re at square one.

I don’t believe I ask a lot. I’ve been understanding about him being a curmudgeon about most any main-stream holiday (Valentine’s Day and birthdays included), among other things…but I’d like to be able to at least plan the weekend and not be stuck at home on a Friday or Saturday night.

(And my apologies for the personal dump…this needed to be vented, uninterrupted, and talking with most people I know doesn’t really allow that. And the few who wouldn’t interrupt would try to take advantage of my frustration. Hrgh.)

Starts seeing after-images and losing depth perception (signs I’m usually about to get a migraine); takes painkiller,and takes a nap in order to try and sleep it off. Wakes up forty-five minutes later, thinking it’s passed. Body decides to bring on the actual cranial pain after waking up, fingers starting becoming numb again, depth perception goes, and after images return 15 minutes later.

…screw you too, body. >_o
